[Plugin: The Events Calendar] How make "today's event" remain visible in widget?

The Calendar is excellent, but there’s it has an unfortunate habit of removing an event from the widget the very day it’s happening.
Can I change somewhere in the code to make events stick around one day extra and not disappear until the day AFTER it’s happening?
