[Plugin: The Events Calendar] Permalink/redirect issue

Same problem here! The plugin is on a client site and they are complaining. Could you please help us how to solve this?

It seems that same title events have the same permalink and that’s why the redirection plugin redirects these to the home page.

It would be nice if I could apply /?p=123 for events but keep /page-name for posts and pages. Is this possible?

Or the other solutions would be if the plugin would add a number in the permalink after the name of the event (if there are multiple events with the same name). Eg: my-event-id56023

Hey guys. Thanks for the heads up; not sure why this is happening and I’m not experiencing it on my end, but I can get a dev to take a look.

Can you please confirm a few things for me first, though? Specifically:

* That you have tried deactivating ALL other plugins, so that it’s just The Events Calendar + your theme…does the issue still persist?
* If it does…with the other plugins deactivated, revert to the default Twenty Twelve theme so it’s just TEC on Twenty Twelve. Does the problem occur there too?

My guess is that this is a conflict with something specific to your installs, but once I get confirmation on that end I’ll know for sure and can bring in a dev as needed. Thanks for your patience so far.

* Yes, I have tried to deactivate all other plugins, so just my custom theme + Events plugin still had the same issue.

* I have tried to activate Twenty Eleven theme and a link to the updated event simply dose not go anyway, once you click on it, it does nothing, stays on the same calendar page.

I have narrowed it down to the usage of John Godley’s redirection plugin. If I disable that permalinks to Events start working correctly. I will notify the author as well about this incompatibility.
