[Plugin: The Events Calendar] possible to add a custom color to each event

    I am wondering two things .

    1) Is it possible to assign a custom event color so that each type of event is a different color on the calendar?

    2) is it possible to add a drop down menu at the top of the calendar with the option to “narrow by” and select individual categories, individual locations, and individual venues. Im looking to have 3 drop down menu’s with loc. interest. and venue be the titles

    each event i add i will assign a region (location) a venue, and a category (free, 18+ etc etc ) and once selected, only those events show up, but still have the offer of “view all”

    any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I have spent the last 9 hours trying to figure this out, and would gladly donate to the plugin if i can get this going

    now I just have to work on those drop down menu’s ….

    Thanks for the assist, khillboulder! Andy’s plugin that you linked to there sounds like it could definitely accomplish what mjennings going for in #1.

    Regarding #2…that’s something we’ve had quite a few requests for, but don’t have any baked-in functionality for just yet. If you browse around the forums here or over at https://tri.be, you may be able to find a few hacks to do this that various users have figured out…but at this point doing it is a level of customization that is unfortunately outside the scope of what we can provide.

    That said, we are working to add something like this during the 2.1 lifecycle of the plugin, because we’ve had a number of users asking about it so far. So if you can wait a few more months know that relief in some capacity is in sight…
