• I have been using The Event Calendar on my WordPress 2.9.2 installation happily for a while now, but this morning I upgraded to WordPress 3.0. Since then I’ve had problems with the plugin, including:

    – only the Gridview will display. Clicking to go to the List view just takes you to the Gridview again
    – only the current month in the Gridview will display. If you change to a different month or year in the drop-down menus, the page refreshes but you find yourself still on the current month.

I am not using any of the plugin’s widgets, only these two views as full pages.

I’m not sure what’s going wrong. Is anyone having the same problem on WordPress 3.0? I have restored my site to the older version from a back up I took before upgrading, and the plugin works fine again now.

Click on the sample event on the event list widget. It will only show the post, without the body. The same goes for all the even views.

    Any ideas???
    Thanks

    Hello sparkyn,
Our site was accidentally auto upgraded to WordPress 3.0 and from what I’m seeing the Events Calendar won’t work. We are interested in reverting back to the older version of WordPress but a little worried about it. Any suggestions on how to do this? Semi new to this.
    Thanks,
    Carol

    Same problem here.

In calendar grid view, clicking the next or previous month link updates the value in the dropdown menus, but still shows the current months calendar. A solution to this would be very helpful.

    Thanks,

I think my problem may well be to do with the fact that I am not using the latest version of the Event Calendar plug in. At some point I’m going to try updating it, and then allow WordPress to update to 3.0 and see if that works better.

Carol – before I updated my WordPress, I took a back up of the whole site. This is always good practice before updating a plug in or WordPress. When I found it had broken something, I copied the backed-up version of my site up onto the server over the top of the existing files, and this undid the changes. If you haven’t got a back up of your site, I’m sorry I don’t know how you could restore your old version of WordPress easily.

Ok, my problem is solved, kinda… as long as I don’t display the widget in the sidebar and on the page at the same time the links work as intended. I removed the widget from the sidebar (in posts – still there in pages).

This was referred to above, but just a reminder to update TEC when updating WordPress. Please let me know about any problems that persist after upgrading to 1.6.3. Thanks.

    Justin

I have the exact same issues as stated above. I installed the latest version of TEC and clicked my events page and all that appears is a blank white page and I can’t bring up anything.

    Any ideas?
