[Plugin: The Events Calendar] Shortcode?

not at the moment. it currently depends on the cat loop. We have had a few requests for a shortcode to display the calendar. Its a big hairball so it might not happen tomorrow, but it is in the system as a feature request.

This plugin lets you redirect a page you create to any post, category, etc you wish. At least it worked ok for me.

Just a note — WP3.0 has just announced custom navigation menus so that means you should be able to create a menu item to lead directly to the calendar VERY easily.
