[Plugin: The Events Calendar] Various suggestions: country drop down list /widget / multilingual si

  • Thanks for this great plugin. Best events plugin I found so far…
    I am happy to use it in my blog.

    Even best things are never perfect… ;-))
    so here are a few things in my wish list..

    1) Sometimes I have problems visualizing maps
    see for example: https://www.groshgrup.net/blog/2010/04/bivacco-urbano-2/
    address is correct, but for some reason map does not display. Clicking on the “google maps” link revert to the page.

    2) I use the event plugin in a multilingual site (using qtranslate)… sometime titles and navigation buttons translate… sometime not… how could I change them?

    3) the event list widget does not work in multilingual envoronment (but I confess that I am not clear if the widget came with your plugin or was already there in wordpress??). Whilst full calendars display only the right translated title, the widget puts in – as a title – all the titles of the same article, in the different languages.

    4) very minor thing… In calendar view it would be great to be able to change months using arrows, rather than having the drop down menu only.

    5) when choosing a location for the event, using the drop down list to select a country is next to impossible… having country codes in alphabetical order would be an improvement. I could not found the UK code for example and gave up!!

    I hope that these suggestions will be helpful in making your plugin even better!

    I sorted the “google maps” issue: it did not work because I did not put the postcode in the post. It would be great if google maps could be visualized even by putting only the data needed to google, i.e without having to specify the postcode (because I do not always have a postcode for my locations!)
