I have the same problem what’s going on? I even did a clean, fresh install of wordpress. This plugin is nutty! Everyone uses it but I always have problems with it.

Same here…it displays a map in Nebraska after I’ve added a California location. Back in the dashboard, the details are gone.

    Any help here?

I’m having this issue too – the reason for mine seems to be because I’m trying to save it for review rather than publish it straight away, as I want to be able to have a number of users uploading events, but all of them needing to be approved by the admin – it works fine if I let the other users publish them to the site themselves, but this would also involve giving them access to publishing posts too, which I use for something different on this site, and would not be a good idea.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was able to save the Event Location details only when I filled in all of the fields. Problem is that I am not able to edit the existing Event Location. All of the orginal details remain and I cannot remove them. Cannot remove them without deleting the entire event.

Hey guys. There is a bug in the current code which is causing errors when adding event location data and saving/resaving; we’ve got it on the radar and will be fixing for either the 2.0.2 or the 2.0.3 release.

    Same here.

    Same here.

2.0.2 will be released on Monday; if you guys can give it another shot from there and confirm whether the issue is fixed it’d be awesome. We’re also implementing the ability to custom set the calendar zoom yourself, though that won’t be released until 2.1 sometime in mid to late January.

Still a problem with v2.02 even if you fill all the fields in. Unusable.

Hey Iamnot. Yes, we addressed this in another forum thread on the same issue…but this fix has been pushed to our 2.0.3 release. Should be out by the end of the month.

This is still not working in 2.0.3. Can anyone recommend a working Events plugin? Thanks

Still not working in 2.0.3. Using WordPress 3.3.1. Any solution yet?

Hi all. Since we’re unable to recreate this in the 2.0.3 code base on our testing environments, this does appear to be an isolated issue to just certain installs. That being said we’re trying to figure out why it still persists for some users and will hopefully have some code to help mitigate that in 2.1.

If anybody is still impacted by this and wants to see if our progress on the code between releases could help them, feel free to email me (rob at tri.be). I’d be happy to give you code along the way (between now and the launch of 2.1) to see if any of the changes we’ve made have resolved your issues.

    Hi all,

I think I’ve figured out a fix to this issue. Here’s a link to a patch for those who want to give it a shot: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/489777/the-events-calendar.class.php.zip

To use, you need to unzip the file and upload it to your ‘/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/lib’ folder (which will overwrite the file that’s currently there).

Let me know if this solves the problem (as it has mine).

NOTE: This assumes you are running version 2.0.3

    Hi joemcgill,

I’m a developer on the Modern Tribe team. Thanks for pointing out and providing the fix for other users!

Unfortunately, there’s a number of considerations we need to take into account before we just revert that function in 2.0.3. The changes introduced in 2.0.3 fixed a skew of other issues and reverting the function would re-introduce those issues.

We are going to carefully review what’s going with this over the next few days and we’ll provide an update either via the forum, a blog post or possibly a 2.0.4 release if needed.

Thanks for your patience everyone. Hopefully, we’ll get this sorted out soon!
