[Plugin: The Events Calendar] Event Location Details Not Saving

The latest code provided by Rob worked for me too. Excellent.

Got fixed code, but Event Title link redirects to venue page on some events. Perhaps because apostrophe originally in title. Very strange. Apostrophe is not in the slug. On mouseover, the title link is correct but for some reason is redirecting to venue.

I tried the new code as well, and it seems to have worked. No bad side effects that I can see so far.

I have one request for an improvement, which is: When the Google map shows in the event post, it is from a long distance, showing the city as a small dot. When you hit the Google Map button, then it opens a new window with a more useful size map, showing the streets around the location.

Why not have the map in the post show the street-level map as well?

Thanks, great plugin. It will be even better when you get the thing working with Eventbrite, or whoever you get, so that our clients can order the tickets straight from the Event listing.

Just a heads up, folks: we’re squashing what looks to be the last bug in 2.0.4 tonight, which means the patched release should be out tomorrow. It may take up to 24 hours for the update prompt to appear on the backend of your site but you can always snag from the OS repo if you need sooner. As Joey noted, if you want the code in the interim feel free to shoot an email over and I’ll hook it up.

Awesome to hear, folks. Since nobody has responded that they’re having problems, and pretty much everyone who did the official 2.0.4 update has reported it working fine, I’m going to finally mark this thread “Resolved.” Thanks again for being patient!
