• First of all, this plugin is excellent. The customization it offers is amazing. I am using this with the ‘The Big Easy’ theme which uses Warp Framework by YooThemes and I am facing two problems.

The plugin works as it is supposed to, however I am unable to set any widget specific to ‘/events’. If a widget is set for all pages, then it shows up otherwise it is not working. Also, if I delete the plugin ‘https://mysite.com/events’ redirects to homepage even after creating a pag with ‘events’ as permalink.

Is it possible to resolve the problems? Thanks.

  • Hey there abhijeetdeb. Thanks for the post, and for your words on the plugin…we appreciate the support and are glad to hear you’re enjoying it. Happy to help get this issue resolved best we can.

The issue of the plugin appearing on an events-specific page, if I understand it correctly, is going to be something controlled by your theme. The theme needs to allow you to create custom sidebars – for example, on the default 2011 theme, I only have my “Main Sidebar”. But if I were running a theme that allowed me to create new types of pages to which widgets could be assigned, what you’re requesting would be doable. Does that make sense, or have I misunderstood the issue?

The second point, about the redirect, is probably based on the fact that you’re newly-created page has a -2 at the end (ie events-2 instead of just events). If that’s not the case, just resaving your permalinks page (no need to make changes; just resave it) should do the trick.

Let me know how these stack up against your experience and I’ll do what I can to troubleshoot from there. Thanks for your patience so far.
