I can no longer edit a plugin’s settings because of a non-unique ID javascript error caused by my old theme and probably a update of the plugin – but I wasn’t aware that themes affected wp-admin? I can’t update the theme because of other issues, but can I replace the theming element for just the admin section with a standard one like 2020 – when I temporarily revert to WordPress 2020 theme there are no problems.

    THEME COFFEE MONKEY

    Howdy!

Yes, it is possible for some themes to affect the admin area. Part of that is when they have a custom settings page and maybe don’t use the correct WordPress hook when loading CSS/JS files. Have you tried reaching out to the theme’s developer about it, they might be able to help?

What theme and plugin are having this issue?

Hi thanks – I’ve used Theme Switcha to disable the theme just for admin while I edit the form – not sure it’s worth doing any more at this point.
