[Plugin: TheThe Image Slider] Poor Fade Transition | White Background

I have a series of images that have a white background gradient behind text….and the caption background appears briefly (lower 50% of image) during the transitions.

Caption is turned off, and I have set all of the caption options to white.

I have tried to set the Custom Style for the .thethe-image-slider-caption{} class to background: #FFF, and display: none but there is no apparent change.

I also tried altering the caption styles in thethe-image-slider.css file.

Any ideas how to fix the problem?
