Plugin to add hyperlink to caption image

  • Hello,

    The caption field in the image section of a post. Is there a way to make that field have a hyperlink either by hack or plugin, prefer plugin any ideas out there?

    you are not he first to ask for this functionality, and it is surprising that nobody has so far programmed a plugin to enable hyperlinks in image captions.

    after spending a couple of hours, this is what i came up with:
    active-links-in-wordpress-image-captions.

    it seems to work in my blog and test environment – it is probably not the most effective and sophisticated way of doing this, and be warned that i am no expert in programming plugins. there is no guarantee for function or against malfunction ??
