Plugin to create custom page blocks

  • Hi,

    I want to create a custom page layout that allows me to add images, a brief description and further information like with this plugin preview: https://demo.gravityview.co/blog/view/business-listings/

    I’m not looking for a business directory per se as I want a separate page for different subjects like ‘attractions’, ‘restaurants’, ‘community groups’ etc.

    Business plugins that offer a similar layout to that that I want charge on a subscription basis and many show ‘zip code’ instead of ‘post code’.

  • Hi @williamsa15, thanks for sharing a link to the GravityView demo.

    It’s possible to show only listings that are in a specific category. You can configure those filters using the [gravityview] shortcode.

    With GravityView, you can to display “Post Code” instead of “ZIP Code” if you want, that’s customizable.

    Please consider GravityView; we offer great support and ongoing updates. Hopefully you will find much more value than the cost of the support license.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the response. I was more put off by GravityForms because of the cost and the subscription payment system. The ‘directory’ pages are only one part of the site and aren’t necessarily going to bring in a return so I couldn’t justify paying so much for something that’s main function was to make something I already have look nicer and be quicker to update.

    I’ve now found Beaver Builder which is looking more aligned to what I was looking for. The only foreseeable disadvantage with it is that there won’t be a quick way for users to quickly search for what they’re looking for like you can with GF.

    Ah, makes sense.

    You could check out FacetWP; it’s great for searching, but that is another yearly support license cost. Worth checking out, though!
