Plugin to create "view full site" dialog box or "switch to mobile version"

  • I currently have a theme installed that generates both a desktop theme and a mobile theme. The problem is, I prefer how the desktop view formats on a tablet compared to mobile but most tablets default to the mobile version. I am currently ‘forcing’ desktop view on mobile devices (deleted code from header.php) but I wonder if there is a plug-in that displays a dialog box when viewing the site from a mobile device? I’d like it to ask whether the viewer would prefer the “full site” or “mobile version”. Most people usually prefer to view full sites on a tablet and mobile on a phone only so I’d like them to be given an option.

    What code did you remove to make the desktop site display on tablets?

    I too want to disable the mobile view of my site on tablets. I have looked in header.php file for my theme but can’t find the code that I need to remove to do this.
    I would appreciate it if you could me in the right direction.
