Plugin to manage more Parent Pages in the admin?

I have a blog right now that uses an extensive and deep hierarchy for pages. I have hundreds of pages and they are sometimes nested 5 or 6 layers deep.

Figuring out how to expose this level of complexity to the user is one thing, but I’d like a way to expose it more efficiently in my admin:

When I create a new page, I need to select its parent category, and the way that’s done is to select the parent page from a drop down — a drop down that’s unmanageably huge!

Is there a plugin that exposes the pages in the admin in a sensible way for people who have many nested pages?
