• Hey guys,

I noticed something new on my blog this week which is the addition of a “Continue Reading” button at the bottom of ALL of my posts. The problem is, it’s on posts that are showing as full posts already. Yes, I find it very handy for my longer posts but misleading on short quote posts or videos. Is there a way to disable this feature and is their a plugin out there that will let me put buttons on specific posts. I couldn’t find anything and all the documentation about character limits seem to have nothing to do with why it’s showing on all my posts. Any Advice? (Selecta theme)

So, it’s been 3 months and I’ve poured through codexes and other similar articles and I have yet to receive an answer to this question. I took out the call for the “continue reading” button because the majority of my posts don’t have a need for a continue… However, I do have a few posts that need it. Is there a way to choose whether or not you want a “continue reading” button on a certain post? The all or nothing method doesn’t work for what I need. Also, I’d like to learn all this PHP stuff, because everytime I try to read any of the codexes, I enevitably end up lost. Can anyone suggest a good beginners resource? Thanks!
