  • I just upgraded to the new tweet blender and now it won’t work. Doesn’t even seem to try and load tweets.

@vethno: when you move from v2.x to v3.x you’ll need to do a few things:

    1) Go to WP Admin > Tweet Blender, review all settings, and click [Save Settings] button

    2) Go to WP > Admin > Appearance > Widgets, remove any old widgets from sidebar, and drop one of the new Tweet Blender widgets in there, enter your sources, and save settings.

That should get you back up and running. If you need a bit more background on why this has to be done check out my Facebook post at https://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=96201618006&topic=13814

@jasicom: just checked your site and looks like you are OK with the sidebar. As far as new format – I explained that in the Facebook discussion; here is the gist:

    – starting with v3 the plugin is multi-widget enabled so you can put multiple widgets on your sidebar and in your post/page (as you can see here). As a side-effect the sources have to be defined for each widget; therefore, tb_widget() tag was no longer possible.

    – starting with v3 the archive is stored in the database and caching mechanism has been reworked for better performance. Archive now behaves as an archive should – showing already blended tweets. Everything else can be accomplished with the new tweet_blender_widget() template tag. So tb_archive() tag was also retired.

@jasicom: I see that there is a lot of confusion with the new tags. I’ll be releasing new simpler way of including Tweet Blender in your pages and post in version 3.0.5 which I’ll push out tonight. Please upgrade and ready the instructions under the “Installation” tab once the version is live. Thanks for your patience!

haha… Now its working really well… Thank you Mr @kirilln. You have to make one website for Tweet Blender. Old 1 is not working yet..

First, awesome plugin! I love it! Now, the bad news… I had tweet blender 2.4.7 operating on my beta blog. I’ve moved all my content to the live site and installed the latest version of Tweet Blender 3.0.8 and now the widget is not displaying any tweets. I get a “no tweets” found message on the homepage where the widget is and the refresh icon keeps spinning. url: https://talentculture.com, wordpress2.9.2. Would greatly appreciate your help.

Update… the tweets seem to be working sometimes. However, even when tweets show up, the refresh icon still keeps spinning and there is a message at the top of the tweets that reads “Loading tweets…” which never goes away.

@Imgsimons, just went to your site and see tweets appearing OK and message not showing. Perhaps it was slow internet connection or something with Twitter? Do you still see the issues you described?

Let me know if the problem is still there and what browser type and version you used. I’ll dig deeper

    Kirilln,

I’ve just added your plugin and widget in my sidebar and get the error “No tweets found for @…”
I added the user in the widget as you noted wit @ before the user name.

    The website location is https://bit.ly/bKTCSr

Can you please look into this?

@us1nyc: don’t see the widget on the page you provided the link to. Did you remove it? If so, please add it back and I’ll take a look.

I′ve a simple question. Is it possible to use a keyword-string, which includes two or more separetet words like for example “Mark Knopfler”.
I like to search for “Mark Knopfler” +tickets
    https://twitter.com/#search?q=%22Mark%20Knopfler%22%20%2Btickets
Is there a way to get this done in an article page?
    ThX & kind regards,

    Guenter
