I have installed version 1.0.1. Placing this:

    [twitter-feed username="meatbrain" img="no" num="7"]

into a text widget in the sidebar results in this error output to the sidebar:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method WP_Error::get_item_quantity() in /home/thinking/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-twitter-feed/wp-twitter-feed.php on line 72

Removing the img and num options results in the same error.

    Please advise. Thanks!

Sometimes twitter does not return the RSS. A simple refresh should sort that out!

I’m getting this error too. The problem is, if the error appears on my site, the right of the page doesn’t show and the layout breaks, making it look really bad!!

The code needs to be re-written so it doesn’t show an error if Twitter doesn’t return the RRS.

The twitter feed has been working fine for several months but today we’re getting a similar error message.

Fatal error: Call to undefined method WP_Error::get_item_quantity() in /home/stampfil/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-twitter-feed/wp-twitter-feed.php on line 82

Tried deleting and reinstalling but still the same error message. Any help appreciated

this is an issue with twitter at the moment, not the plugin. once twitter is back up it’ll start working again. i am going to release an update to merely output an error instead of stopping the whole page…

once the twitter search is up then you’ll see the plugin working again:

Cool, the search is back up and the plugin is working fine again
