Accepting the update for 1.5.2, my website stopped functioning. Twitter Mentions as Comments was the only plug-in updated today.

Could not access the WP dashboard. Using ISP admin panel I deleted the API directory. Website immediately started working again.

Tried alternatives (e.g. fresh, clean install) to no avail.

1.5.2 on WP 3.4.1 does appear to be broken. Indicates plug-in causes a FATAL ERROR, Line 40.

    Backup 1.5.1 before proceeding.

How can I fix it – my Website isn′t online since the Update!

    Ostwestf4le,

The interim solution is to deactivate and/or remove the plug-in from operation. Since you cannot login via the WP Admin interface, use your ISP’s admin login, use their File Manager (or equivalent functionality), navigate to your Blog>Content>Plug-Ins directory, and delete the Twitter-mentions-as-comments directory.

That will immediately restore your website.

Thanks for your advice , jtpedersen – https://www.ostwestf4le.de works fine now after deleting the directory ??

The problem appears to be related to a bad build (a missing dependency). Please try upgrading to 1.5.3 to resolve the issue.

If you are unable to access your site, simply delete (or rename) the /wp-content/plugins/twitter-mentions-as-comments/ folder.

    Sorry for the trouble.
