[Plugin: Twitter Mentions As Comments] Diagnosing Why No Tweets are Posting as Comments

How do I begin to diagnose this plugin? I am not getting any Tweets coming in as posts. If I try to manually find tweets, after awhile, I get an error 500. Any assistance on showing me where to begin/go to diagnose my install’s issue(s) would be appreciated.
