    Types doesn’t control the URL structure in your site. This is a core WordPress function.

    It looks like you’ve incorrectly set up the URLs for the custom types or taxonomy. If you can paste here your complete configuration, we might be able to see what’s wrong.

    Also, to start, I suggest to use the default values for everything. This means not entering ANYTHING in the permalink fields for custom types and taxonomy and using a simple URL structure under settings->permalinks.

    Hi!

    I chose in the permalink settings Custom Structure and put /%volume%/%postname%/
    (i changed “issues” in “volumes”, nothing related to the problem)

    in Types I set up:
    Slug: volume
    Rewrite: yes, with prepend left blank
    query_var: yes, “volume” in the textbox.
