    Hi!
This is an awesome plugin, but I don’t get how to use the shortcode. for the taxonomy plugin the shortcode [xy_book] works, but not the [xy_book field="author"]. I’ve also noticed that several of these shortcodes doesn’t work either, let’s say:

    [xy_book]
    [xy_author]

Only one is displayed, and it doesn’t even display properly… the output is sort of like this:

    Name: Harry Potter

I would like it to be like this:
    Book: Harry Potter
    Author: J.K. Rowling

Also the shortcode [xydac_field]book[/xydac_field] is not working either. Please tell me how to use it!Thanks!

I haven’t noticed such problem as shortcode not working, To help me more understand can you please post the taxonomies you are using, and their associated field types.

Moreover try out the new updated version of the plugin there is an enhancement of shortcode in it.

    For now I’m testing one:
It’s a taxonomy called protein (I’m making a site about dog food).

The taxonomy name is protein and it has the same field name as well. It only displays it as Name: 29, where nameshould be protein. When I try the new enhanced shortcode, nothing as all is displayed and when I use the shortcode to display a CPT’s custom fields only the shortcode is displayed.

I’m not a huge fan on custom fields, but if it’s easier to display information like get_the_terms_list does, than I’d like to use it.

I tried and tested as you said and everything worked fine with me, Later i checked with multiple terms associated with a post then i saw something weird, so i just corrected it and updated the version, Please check it out and let me know how it works.

There ain’t any easy way to pull out the information yet.

Nothing has changed for me. Don’t think I’ll be using this feature then if the information is not displayed.

I hope that you’ll be able to fix the most wanted feature for me, display taxonomies and terms easily with your plugin.

I like this plugin but …

I too cannot get shortcodes to work.
I am building a website for a walking club and I want to have a template for creating walks. I have created the custom fields but they will not appear in the post.
What does appear is the code I have entered eg
    [xydac_field]other-notes[/xydac_field]

    Any help/advice would be appreciated!

    regards
