This plugin certainly offers a lot of features. The tables were the only feature I found lacking. After clearly defining the table setup, what showed up on the editor were just a series of vertical lines, that showed no resemblance to what I had requested the table to look like, and I could not find a way of editing anything further.

WP Super Edit, on the other hand, offers clear table editing, and the tables display very nicely on the page.

I would have to agree with you. The tables certainly are a buggy feature when using tinymce. This is not plugin related, but rather how wordpress (and tinymce in general) handle tables. Additionally, each theme has it’s own way of displaying table borders, styles, properties, paddings, margins, etc… and it’s difficult to find a “work-all” solution.

I have found by playing with the table feature, and trying this and that, it can actually be quite useful. I will do a video screencast on how I use the tables. Follow my twitter feed and you will know when the video hits youtube.

So, I will certainly check out the plugin you mention, and see if I can’t incorporate some of it’s functionality.

    Thanks for the tip.

I’ve been playing around with my tables and have finally gotten the look I want. But is there anyway to insert additional tables as set up, or do I just have to insert a new one and re-enter the information? I’ve tried adding a row for instance, but then I lose my border between my tables. Can anyone help?

You could always switch to an HTML view and copy the entire table code, then paste it again in the HTML view where you would like it.

Then, just change the data in the second table.

There really isn’t a way to insert another table with a certain modified layout.
