• Sorry to bother you. I want to understand a little better how this wonderful plugin works. As I see, avatars are generated automatically. For example, it’s time for EE on my site now. EE’s avatar is generated in different sizes and on different backgrounds. How many backgrounds will be used? A rainbow or 16 million shades? As I understand, I can choose a palette and specify it in the settings, separated by commas. Then I will limit the generation of avatars? And one more thing: recently trying to solve the issue with 800 thousand avatars for my 8 thousand users, I did not find the mysql table responsible for the plugin. My question is, if a new user with ALREADY KNOWN first letters registers on the site, will he be assigned a known avatar? The plugin will not waste time to generate an avatar in a new way? I still worry that avatars might be forgotten, which would eventually lead to a hosting disaster… I hope you can satisfy my curiosity. I want the plugin to work even better!

And one more thing: my site uses Russian. Users USUALLY register using Russian. Although sometimes it can be English and even numbers. Are language preferences taken into account by the plugin somehow?

The background color use by the plugin to generate a new avatar depends on the settings value you have. If you choose the third option “Use a random background color from the list below” only one of those values will be use to generate the avatar.

If two users share the same setting to generate an avatar, which mean they have the same background color, font color, initial letters, them both users will share the same avatar. That is why the plugin don’t deletes the avatars when a user is deleted

The plugin does not use any extra table to work. All settings are save in wp_settings table

There shouldn’t be a problem with Russian character in the avatar, if you select either png or svg to generate the image, it will contain the user initials

Thank you! Now I understand the plugin a little better. There are no problems with the Russian language.
