    Jeremy,

Just wanted to give a quick, heartfelt thanks for this great plugin. I have always wanted an easy way to keep the public (and clients) from seeing a site while still in development, while still giving me the full ability to test it and see it as it will actually look.

I’ve used various techniques in the past (even going so far as to build the entire site on my own local server using XAMPP before loading it up to the real host), and while they were effective, they were way more work for me than using your plugin.

I really like that I can put in my own custom message without even having to build a temporary HTML file, so it’s easy to put company contact info up until the site is complete.

    You rock. Thanks again.

    Patrick Villella

  • Ditto! I am loving this plugin!

Whoo hoo! I’d been struggling for an EASY way to develop a WordPress site without having to move databases and files and change URL’s, etc., etc. — everything seemed so complicated! What a great solution… I am thrilled.

I had already created a simple temporary page and I wanted to use that rather than just have straight text… so I was excited to see you had an option for the html… I had a little problem at first, not being an html person (always creating in something else, then copying the code).

I found that by creating the page in NVU (which is a free webpage program) I could switch to the Source view and copy and paste that code into your Under Construction Page HTML field — and it works perfectly. I even added a Login link to the bottom of that page, so that the people I am doing this website for can login easily without even having to remember the login URL.

Thank you SO much for this simple solution to my problem!

BTW… I could not find a link to YOUR website on the https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/underconstruction/?topic_id=8707 page… I had to google you.
