Plugin uninstall errors

    Hi, I tried to uninstall this plugin but could not completely remove it. After using the regular disable-delete method in wp plugin window I checked in FTP and there were some tinymce folders still left there!? I deleted those then manually, but to me “uninstall plugin” would mean remove EVERYTHING.

    Still I’m facing with following error: I create a new post and insert an image then I try to click on the image edit option but the pop-up window does not appear anymore and on the bottom of the browser I get this error message:

    Warning: include_once(/home/<domain>/public_html/wp-includes/js/tinymce/langs/wp-langs.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/<domain>/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-editor.php on line 547

    I checked on FTP and I don’t have any “wp-langs.php” file so why is this trying to open anything at all?

    Can you please advise or let me know which original wp files were may overwritten by the plugin which is causing the above error?

    Okay, so finally my editor became completely broken, no buttons and white text issue. I found several solutions on the web for that, none of them helped. Finally I fixed it by refreshing (reinstalling) wordpress itself. Still I’m confused about the first part of my post i.e. which original wp files get overwritten by this plugin – it seems uninstall does not set those back to original.

    Thinking you’ve mixed up the plugin with the default WordPress implementation of TinyMCE. This plugin, like almost all other WordPress plugins, does not change any core files.

    • The plugin is in wp-content/plugins, once deleted there’s no other traces of it left anywhere.
    • The default implementation is in wp-includes/js/tinymce and you shouldn’t touch anything in there.

    From the error you mention, seems you’ve deleted some files from wp-includes/js/tinymce. Best is to reinstall WordPress, exactly the same version you’re currently running, as you did.
