    I am testing it locally. It used to work with older version. A screenshot may help you to identify?

    On your theme CSS file add this :
    ul#upz-slideshow-navigation li.activeSlide { background:#BBBBBB; }
    You can replace #BBBBBB by the color you want ??

    It should work.
