I really enjoy this plugin, my only issue is that often when a new version is released and I update, it activates new elements and/or extensions by default that I do not need or want activated.

I have to manually go to the dashboard and search for which elements are suddenly activated and disable them. Is there a way to make this not happen? I only want the elements I already have activated and to not have to go through this each time.

This last time it happened it auto-enabled a WooCommerce feature (Woo Product List) and my site doesn’t even have a store or use WooCommerce.

    Thanks!

    Hello @wigglepit,

Greetings. Thanks for pointing this out.

Let me discuss this with our dev team. I will get back to you once I get any updates from them.

    Hello @wigglepit ,

    Hope you’re doing well.

Regarding your query, Essential Addons for Elementor has the functionality to automatically activate recently added widgets or extensions every time the plugin is updated. We want our users to be aware of the addition of a new element and to give it a try, which is why we have enabled this function. Many users won’t even be aware of the new features included in the most recent update if they are not activated by default.
However, you do not need to worry about this functionality negatively impacting the speed of your website. Because our developers have designed it in such a way that the JavaScript and CSS files associated with those elements only load when you are actually using the element on your site. So, you may rest assured knowing that new features that activate themselves won’t cause any problems for the user.

Let us know if you have any other questions regarding our plugin.

    Thank you.

Thanks for the reply and also again for the plugin. I do wish there was a way to turn this feature off as it causes confusion for my clients. Just a suggestion for future updates. You can always bring attention to new features in other ways.
