• Hi All,

For some reason all of a sudden I am unable to update plugins automatically I get the following error.

Incompatible Archive. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

I spoke to support at my hosting and they just said to me WordPress can help me with this problem, it feels like a server thing though, does anyone know how I can resolve this?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Rick

  • Have you tried upgrading your plugins manually using FTP?

Hi, I have a plugin that I have updated to the current version for two of my websites which are on the same server, one for testing and the other for live sales.

The plugin updated properly on the test server but not on the live site. Yet both the sites are the same in everyway, including plugins etc….

I have deleted out the plugin and re-uploaded via ftp, reactivted it, and everytime i get thrown out of the wp admin area, I then have to go back in to /wp-admin through my address bar. The plugin has been activted ok, but it keeps showing the previous version, yet on my test site it shows the correct version.

I have deactivted all plugins to see if it is a plugin problem, but it isnt as the test site has the same plugins active.

Any ideas please what could be happening here and why I can see the correct version on site and not the other.
