Plugin update failed

I installed Simple Cache 1.2 on my four sites. Just received the update to 1.2.1 and in each attempt to tick the Update option, I received this notice: “Plugin update failed.”

I then had to deactivate Simple Cache, then update it, then reactivate it, and then it worked.

Upon reactivation, I received this notice: “Woops! Caching was turned off in wp-config.php, or an important file.”

I ticked the Fix button and it was apparently fixed.

Now all seems well in the world, but I thought you should be aware of this.

PS: I also had to update another plugin at the same time, and there were no problems with that one..
