    Hi,

The problem I’m having is my plugins; they are not updating. How do I set it so that they update even before a backup? I have it set to only backup once a week, so the plugins aren’t being updated. I received a message from my host provider of indications of my website being compromised because of this. Do I just disable the option “Auto Backup Before Update”? Thank you for your help.

  • Hi @logosbyls, thanks for reaching out although I’m sorry to hear you’re having a bit of trouble updating plugin before updates.

I think disabling the Auto Backup Before Update option will only resolve half of your issue. What you might want to do is visit the “Plugins” dashboard of your WordPress website and tick the option to “Enable Auto Updates” on each plugin.

With this option selected WordPress will attempt to update your plugin(s) whenever an update is available.

I hope this helps! Please let us know if there’s anything else that we can answer for you.
