Fatal error: Call to undefined method TGM_Plugin_Activation::get_instance() in /htdocs/public/www/wp-content/plugins/virtue-toolkit/class-virtue-toolkit-welcome.php on line 83

Now I have had to deactivate the plugin as activating it my website showed only the error message without letting me get to the other pages.

I have managed to get rid of the fatal error message updating the theme as well but all my portfolio items have lost their link to the portfolio page. Even when I create a new there is no link and I get to an error page.

    Hello,

Sorry you’re having trouble. It’s very important that you stay on top of updates though. Anytime you have a notification to update in your admin, take care of that ASAP.

For the new issue, have you tried going to Settings> Permalinks and resaving your permalinks?

I’m having the exact same issue, I can’t log onto the admin area of wordpress with the error log containing repetitions of:-

[Mon Jul 23 08:36:18.702994 2018] [fcgid:warn] [pid xxxxxx] [client xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxxx] mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined method TGM_Plugin_Activation::get_instance() in /home/xxxxxx/domains/xxxxxx.com/public_html/xxxxxx.com/wp-content/plugins/virtue-toolkit/class-virtue-toolkit-welcome.php on line 83, referer: https://xxxxxx.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fxxxxxx.com%2Fwp-admin%2Fedit-comments.php%3Fcomment_status%3Dmoderated&reauth=1

    I’m running the latest:-
    Wordpress: 4.9.7
    Virtue Toolkit: 4.9.0
    Virtue Theme: 1000

Currently I’m having to rename the virtue-toolkit directory to deactivate the plugin before I can log into the wordpress admin area.

Thanks a lot! Resaving the permalink settings again worked immediately!

    Glad it’s working for you!

    @peppermintos,
Sorry for the delay! In the future please start your own topic so your posts don’t go unnoticed.

“Virtue Theme: 1000” seems incorrect. Current version is 3.2.8. I suggest deleting your current copy of the theme from your site, and re-installing from a fresh download.

    Download from here:
    https://www.ads-software.com/themes/virtue/

You wont lose any of your theme settings, they’re saved in your site’s database. Let me know if that makes any difference.
