Plugin Update Messed up Site

I sent a direct email to support but in case this helps anyone else, the new update (and name change to the plugin) really messed up a site I work on – -name has nothing to do with it, of course. But didn’t help with some of the confusion. The latest version of this plugin broke the slider, screwed tag links and did some really weird stuff. Started hyperlinking numbers in dates that were never hyperlinked before — all of them. Made no sense. It also caused our featured images above the post titles and in the post not to show unless mouse’d over. The site has worked great with no problems for months and months and months. This one plugin update wiped messed up lot of stuff and seemingly permanently. Even when digging through back up files to return to the previous version, there are still lingering issues. I realize there are bigger issues in the world, but frustrating to say the least.
