• Hello,

Your recent update with the plugin is not applying. I tried manually installing the newly downloaded compressed file but it’s still showing as ‘1 Plugin Update’.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Eli

  • Hi have the same issue. 1.4.2 Update appears to install but on reloading the page it says that an update is available.

    Ditto!

Same on a number of websites

Same here. I use the plugin on 5 sites and all of them are indicating an update from 1.4.1 to 1.4.2 is available after attempting to update the plugin.

    Same issue here.

    Pheeew!

So … I’m not alone. Others are having the very same issue. Updates but does NOT stay updated.

I thought there was something wrong with the site causing this as I have NEVER seen this behaviour in any updates for ANYTHING WordPress.

    same issue here.

Add one more to this list…

I’m having the same problem updating this plugin, but I’m also having the same problem trying to update another plugin. Wonder if there’s an issue with WordPress.

Nice to see that WPbeginner is reacting so quickly to their messed up plugin update. NOT!! It’s not a big deal, but one would think that WPbeginner could at least check in here and say “sorry, we’re fixing it.”

Golden rule of plugin updates. Check your support feed guys.

    Hi there,
The issue is www.ads-software.com is sending sites a copy of the old plugin, and that’s why the version number isn’t going up (you’re not getting a copy of the new version). We’re working with the .org meta team and we hope to have this issue with their site resolved shortly. We’re working with the WordPress team responsible for maintenance with the site and as soon as they fix the issue on their site (it seems to be affecting a few other plugins as well), we’ll issue an update here.

It’s still the same for me. ??

“An error occurred while updating Insert Headers and Footers: The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions. insert-headers-and-footers, insert-headers-and-footers/readme.txt, insert-headers-and-footers/ihaf.php, insert-headers-and-footers/views, insert-headers-and-footers/languages, insert-headers-and-footers/views/settings.php, insert-headers-and-footers/views/sidebar.php, insert-headers-and-footers/views/dashboard-notices.php, insert-headers-and-footers/languages/insert-headers-and-footers.pot”

It’s the only plugin that does not update.
