Plugin Update Notification

  • I am having some problems with the Notifications regarding upgrades and plugin updates. I’m NOT getting them?

    I don’t see any notifications, any kind of messaging what so ever. If I type the update servers into my web browser I can get to them fine.

    Are there some pre-requisites that are required for using the notifications within Worpdress?? I am running Worpress 2.8 on Xampp Server.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
