Plugin updates – no progress displayed since WP upgrade

  • Hi there
    I have several community WP sites that I manage. Each has recently been upgraded to 5.3.0.

    Since then, when I updated plugins, I no longer see the update progress displayed. The screen stays on “Update Plugins” and never refreshes. Of course, if I manually refresh I get the Maintenance warning. Eventually, the update completes and all is well.

    Is anybody else experiencing this? Like I say, this has happened on three completely separate (i.e. not multi) sites.
