[Plugin: UpdraftPlus] Dropbox/Curl error: SSL certificate problem, verify that..
-
For many weeks I have had UpdraftPlus automatically backup my website https://www.faupelauto.ch to Dropbox, and this has worked fine. Since January 28 the backups are not saved to Dropbox anymore and I keep getting plentiful error messages of the sort
“Dropbox/Curl error: SSL certificate problem, verify that the CA cert is OK. Details: error:14090086:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate verify failed”How can this be resolved?
Yesterday, I also clicked on “After you have saved your settings (by clicking ‘Save Changes’ below), then come back here once and click this link to complete authentication with Dropbox.”
although a remark in parentheses said that I already seemed to be authenticated. I thought making sure that I am would do no harm.
However it made things even worse, as now Updraftplus keeps telling me:
“UpdraftPlus notice: Click here to authenticate your Dropbox account (you will not be able to back up to Dropbox without it).”
When I do click on that, the same message keeps coming over and over again. So in addition to the above mentioned error message I now also get this error message from failed backup attempts:
“You do not appear to be authenticated with Dropbox”I have also been getting a third error message:
“Warning: Your website is visited infrequently and UpdraftPlus is not getting the resources it hoped for; please read this page: https://updraftplus.com/faqs/why-am-i-getting-warnings-about-my-site-not-having-enough-visitors/”So how can things get back to normal?
Thanks very much for your kind support!
