[Plugin: User Community] New Features

  • Hi,

    first off I want to thank you again for a great plugin and I know you will not add any new features until everything is stable, but I still want to list some features I think would be useful for later when all is stable.

    – Ability to leave comments on profile page
    – Ability to create groups for members to post pictures and comments

  • Abut the Collapsing Categories, I reproduced the issue on a site that does not have the User Community installed, so It’s not related to the Community plugin.

    Also, I’ve only get the issue on Firefox. Using IE-7 I could not reproduce it. I think is a browser issue with the Collapsing Categories. I would ask to this plugin forum to see if anyone else have it and how you can get it solved.

    I am not sure if I am missing something or that I was not clear and you misunderstood my feature request, but I am having problems leaving comments on other people’s profiles.

    At least that is the feature I want, let me try to explain again.

    User “A” uploads a picture to his profile, I see his picture on his profile and I think it looks cool. Now I want to leave a comment on HIS profile saying something like “Wow, cool picture you have!” and that comment needs to be displayed ONLY on his profile.

    At the moment whenever I leave a comment it is visible on ALL profiles including the main profile’s directory.

    What you have implemented now is different, that shows the last comments user “A” made himself on the forum, but that is not the feature I was talking about. I would like to be able to leave comments on other people’s profiles.

    I understood completely a different think. I was thinking on removing the last user comments list.

    I understand now what you mean. And will think about how to make it work. By now the problem is using the WordPress comment system: using only one page to hold all profiles and pictures, if you comment on one, this comment is relative to all community pages.

    Will see if it’s possible to use the WordPress comments system or have to create a new one to do this.
