Plugin Version 1.0.1 update requires purchase?

    I see the 1.0.1 WooCommerce Payments update on two of my websites. When I update however, I get “An error occurred while updating WooCommerce Payments: Please visit the subscriptions page and renew to continue receiving updates.” Visiting the subscriptions pages shows this: ” Version 1.0.1 is available. To enable this update you need to purchase a new subscription”. The page has an active Purchase button. Clicking the button takes me to the plugin page which shows the plugin is a “free download”. What’s going on? I thought this plugin was free or rather, charged per transaction?

    You will not be charged for anything nor there are hidden costs.
