Hi there! I’m showing that I’m running version 1.9.2 of your plugin. 1.10 seems to be your most recent version, but because that’s a lower version number WordPress isn’t recognizing that an upgrade is needed. My host is yelling at me about the need to upgrade for security purposes.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

I’m not sure that I understand. “1.10” is a higher version number than “1.9.2” (this is NOT “1.92”!). Also, the updated version is properly detected by very many sites (as shown by the TablePress download numbers), and I have not received similar reports.

Is your site running all other requirements, i.e. WordPress 5.3 and at least PHP 5.6.20?

Note that you could try updating manually as well.

    Regards,
    Tobias

You are correct, I was reading that wrong. We are running latest updates, WP 5.3.2 and PHP 7.3. I will check with the host and see if something is blocking it. If not, I’ll do a manual update.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

sounds good! If you find that something in TablePress is causing this, please let me know!

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

@sdarter I was facing the same issue, but it was because I was on an older version of WordPress. Tablepress 1.10 requires WP 5.3.2, and it looks like the plugins area of the WP dashboard will not show you that an update is needed for Tablepress if you’re on older versions of WP.

    Hi,

correct, the update to TablePress 1.10 will only be shown on sites that use WordPress 5.3 (or newer).

    Regards,
    Tobias
