[Plugin: Viper's Video Quicktags] Conflict with n3rdskwat mp3 player

What kind of conflict?

To answer your question, when I activate n3rdskwat mp3 player in the plugins section, the conflict seems to be that the videos don’t display. Depending on if I surf the website on firefox or safari (I’m on mac), instead of the videos, either I only get a still image with no player options, or an image and a link to the video if i click the image, but still no player, or else a url with the video link, or last : nothing…

If i deactivate the mp3 player plugin, all videos display perfectly on the posts (I have some links on the website to youtube, dailymotion, vimeo and self hosted flv ones).

Since my website is intended to only happy fews (family, friends…) people have to log in order to enter its content, so please log in with guest/guest (“login utilisateur” or something like “user login” labelled on the left handside, depending if the label is translated from a location to another).

PS : i left both plugins activated for the testings purpose.

One thing I should add :

I also noticed that, when I click a thumbnail in a photo gallery (made with the Nextgen plugin), the window displays only the full size photo at the top left corner. Normally, the photo shows in a lightbox effect.

Maybe it’ll be useful to solve the problem.

To the best of my knowledge, my plugin properly implements everything and should not conflict with properly coded plugins. My guess is the other plugin is force loading (instead of using the API) SWFObject or some other JS file that’s creating a conflict.

I can’t know for sure without seeing your site though and you never provided a URL.

One strange thing is that when you arrive on the website, everything looks ok, but when you navigate to another page, all is messed up.

I don’t see any videos on your site. You also appear to be using some Javascript that makes you site all load using AJAX. This will break many plugins, such as mine, as the embed function may never be triggered.

There are some videos though. Now I just only deactivated the mp3 player plugin and see what happens ? Everything is back to normal : videos, photos, menus : all nice and clean !

Hello, I needed some time in order to add some contents (texts & photos to my fresh website). I still kept the mp3 player off, because it was still faulty with the mp3 player enabled. Do you know how I could fix that ? Thanks in advance

I did, and still no response yet. Still waiting for the author’s help or a good light at least. Thanks for your help anyway until now.
