[Plugin: W3 Total Cache] 403 Forbidden Error when "Set expires header" is enabled

  • A customer of mine had his index page deindexed in Google and it was because when he enabled “Set expires header” in “browser cache” it caused this…

    HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden
    Date: Fri, 13 May 2011 00:20:04 GMT
    Server: Apache
    X-Powered-By: PHP/5.2.16
    Vary: Accept-Encoding,Cookie

    I had him disable that and the issue went away and thankfully he is back on top in Google.

    My question is what would cause that?
