This plugin has been working fine and delivering images via my CDN (cloudfront) without any issues. At some point about a month ago, any new images aren’t being served from the CDN and instead come from my blog host.

The files are in the CDN. I uploaded them again and 100% of them were there. I looked in S3 and see the files there. The permissions are set fine, yet it’s not working. A test upload from the CDN screen of the plugin was successful.

I’ve tried in every browser I have after clearing cache via the plugin and each of the browsers.

Here’s a recent post with this issue: https://www.doseofdigital.com/2010/10/applying-sanity-regulatory-debates/

If I view the source code, I do see this, which makes it appear that the CDN should be working:

<!– Performance optimized by W3 Total Cache. Learn more: https://www.w3-edge.com/wordpress-plugins/

    Minified using disk

Page Caching using disk (enhanced) (user is logged in)

Database Caching using disk (user is logged in)

Object Caching 1469/1480 objects using disk

Content Delivery Network via Amazon Web Services: CloudFront: Amazon Web Services: S3: images.doseofdigital.com

    Thanks,
    JMR

  • I’ve been having the same problem for the last month or so myself. I found that if I check the “unsuccessful file transfer queue” from the CDN area of the plugin, it will show lots of “Object already exists” errors. If I clear this queue, suddenly the posts use the CDN images instead of the local ones.

In case it matters, here’s my setup:

    “Minified using disk
Page Caching using disk (enhanced) (user is logged in)
Database Caching using disk (user is logged in)
Content Delivery Network via Amazon Web Services”

The solution from @matsan worked perfectly.

Hints: the link you need to click to clear the “unsuccessful file transfer queue” is way down at the bottom of the list of files. Also, don’t forget to clear the plugin’s cache.

@jonmrich, you are my savior. I was struggling to figure out how to clear for almost an hour…the clear links is buried at the end of the page.

Clearing the queue started serving images from CDN. What is the permenant fix for this problem? Should we often keep an eye on cdn and clear the queues? That’s not a good idea!
