[Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Disk (enhanced) option disabled

FWIW, I’m running 0.9.2.1 with Disk (Enhanced) enabled.What do you mean by the option is “disabled”?

Disabled = grayed out. That means that although it’s in the list of options, it’s not possible for me to select it.

Also, W3TC doesn’t give me any warnings or other hints on why it’s not enabled.

Something’s not right. You might want to uninstall and reinstall?

Reverting to 0.9.1.3 fixes the problem (disk enhanced is enabled, and works fine).

As soon as I upgrade to 0.9.2.1 again, disk (enhanced) is disabled and the only selectable option is disk (basic). No warnings, no error messages.

I am also facing the same issue. Disk Enhanced is disabled by default. So htaccess rules are not generated.

I am not sure if W3 Total cache with basic disk cache is better or supercache/ hyper cache?

I am on a shared server.

Have you run the ‘Compatibility Check’ to see if it flags anything?

I have downgrade to 0.9.1.3 and now works fine.

anyway wp super cache is faster and the developer is not arrogant.

W3 Total Cache supports CloudFlare, so I’m not sure I want to switch. I’ve tried Super Cache before I started using W3 Total Cache. Before that, I was using Hyper Cache. I don’t really know what’s the best for me. I do want to make sure my CDN, CloudFlare, is supported…

CloudFlare makes their own WordPress plugin. So not sure what your point is there. I also use “CDN Sync Tool” to auto upload my images to Amazon Cloudfront.

Good luck with W3. For me the best plugins are the ones where the developers are most in-tune and active with its users.
