Hi Guys, I’m Joan the woner of https://www.machomax.com

Recently I changed my site theme and unistalled W3TC. And now I’m seeing an error. When I’m logged in I can see the new theme (WPZoom’s Splendid) but when I visit the site as a normal visitor the site has no format on the Homepage and in some post/pages.

On the error pages the site is using an old theme that I had (https://themeforest.net/item/lightly-magazine-wordpress-theme/2583570)

    See here: https://imgur.com/a/4FDUr

I tried with other themes including the default one’s but the error continues.

A fellow WP forum member checked my site CSS and this is what he found:

W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /home/machomax/public_html/wp-content/w3tc/min.

Then I installed the W3TC and the problem was gone. Why this happens and how can I solve it?

Pd.: Right now the W3TC plugin is installed that’s why the CSS is fine at this moment.

  • Make sure when it uninstalls that it’s removing the W3TC blocks of code from the site’s .htaccess file.

And how do I do this?

    Renesis,

I had the same problem. The comment above you is the right solution. Go into your Htaccess folder within your hosting root.

look for anything below #start W3tc (caching type browser as an example) and before the #end w3tc comment. Remove all those w3tc lines of code – refresh your cache and you should be good
