[Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Issue with Post page not purging when updated

I’m having an issue with the Post page and category pages not getting purged when a new blog post is created. Under Purge Policy I do have “Post page” checked.

I believe that the issue is related to the theme that we are using, but I want to verify. With this particular theme you don’t set the Home/Post page in Settings/ Reading Settings you set them within the theme. My ‘guess’ is W3 Total Cache then does not know what the post page is (and therefore does not purge the cache).
