• Seems like a great plugin, and a lot of work has gone into this.

BUT I’ve been trying to setup this plugin for 3 days now, and still having the following problems:

***THIS IS MY MAIN ISSUE RIGHT NOW SINCE SITE IS NOT WORKING:
-when I disable CDN since I can’t get it to work, my images are still missing (even after purging cache within W3 and my browser and Deploying)

-FTP CDN not recognizing several images, including main theme image (bg.jpg), even though I went through the upload procedure twice with 921 images just to be sure (and the image is in my CDN FTP folder).

-a ‘page-cornr’ javascript was working yesterday, now it isn’t working (needs to load into HEAD on all templates)…the page corner is showing at the bottom of the page (though it is assigned to Head in W3).

Even with W3T enabled I’m still not getting very good results with yslow:

Grade F on Make fewer HTTP requests – “This page has 5 external Javascript scripts. Try combining them into one. This page has 5 external stylesheets. Try combining them into one.”
-I thought I had W3 configured to combine CSS/javascript files, but it doesn’t seem to be taking.
    -ideas?

Grade F on Add Expires headers
-I thought I had W3 configured to add header expirations, but it doesn’t seem to be taking.
-is there an htaccess mod that will apply header expirations?

Grade F on Compress components with gzip – “There are 6 plain text components that should be sent compressed”
-I’m using HostGator VPS hosting…here are their comments:

Opcode cache: Don’t worry about (You currently use Zend Optimizer for your php optimization)
Memcache extension: While a good plugin, not recommended unless absolutely necessary and we are a long way from getting to that point.

enable zlib.output compression, it does a very similar job to Gzip but more efficiently.

-yslow isn’t recognizing zlib compression since I’m still getting an F grade?

Thanks for your help, I know you are very busy supporting this plugin.

Not sure why, but when I disable the plugin entirely my site looks just fine (all images are there, and ‘page-cornr’ is appearing where it should be)…and my site is still loading faster than before I installed W3!

Is it due to htaccess rules remaining from W3?

If you’re new to caching you need to start with the defaults and make sure all is fine then move on to other optimizations like minify and browser caching. If you submit a bug submission form from the support tab of the plugin I’ll try to help.
