• Hi,

After hitting Network Activate, I get a WP generated 404 page. The link is correct ( …wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/inc/network_activation.php ) and the file is there. So I’m pretty sure the problem is not W3TC itself but something on the server.

I did an install via the New Plugin back-end but when I ran in to the error, I removed the w3tc dir completely and uploaded via FTP and made sure permissions for files (644) and folders (755) are correct. Still the error remains.

I’m lost here. Does anybody have any idea what could be causing this?

    Thanks ??

  • Very weird but recreating the entire wp-content dir solved the issue… Same permissions, same owner, same group, different result.

About that result: it now returns a page saying

W3 Total Cache Error: plugin cannot be activated network-wide.

    Why?

W3TC must be activated separately for each site- NOT network activated.

Aahhh… Ok. I read something in the changelog about a fix for some issue with Network Activate.

I suppose this message is the fix then ??
