    Hi,

I currently have the following spec’d dedicated server-

    2.5ghz dual core
    4gb ram
    linux cent os with WHM

I have setup W3 with MaxCDN which is running perfectly and I have previously setup memcahed to serve the page cache and everything else is set to Disk.

However my page load times are still quite high, so im wondering if a different cahcing method would be better.

I have browsed a few discussions and no one really draws a direct conclusion on what to use.

I was wondering what cache method I should be using?

    Thanks for your time

  • You’ve got it set up backwards. Use Disk enhanced for page cache and minify and use memcached (or preferably APC) for everything else.

    Hi,

Just giving that a try now, but I did notice that when using APC for page cache only it jumped my time to first byte to 2.5 seconds from 0.4.

Will feedback with my very detailed spreadsheet of results soon!

I would be interested in how you made out with your testing.
