[Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Which site to speed test with ?

Hello,
Having done all my seo stuff I have turned my attentions to improving the speed of my site. I’ve installed W3 Total Cache and optimised images and I’m now left with conflicting speed results.
If I use https://tools.pingdom.com I get a sub-second page loading speed (best so far 772ms) yet if I use https://gtmetrix.com it’s telling that the load time is 2.77secs ??
Who do I believe ?Regards
